Odysse Evoqis Electric Bike Debuts with 80 km/h Speed, 5-Hour Charge, Priced at ₹1.18 Lakh

Mumbai: Indian electric two-wheeler brand Odysse has rolled out the Evoqis, a lively e-bike aimed at performance fans. Tipping the scales at ₹1.18 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model promises sporty handling, decent range, and city-friendly running costs.

Race-Inspired Looks Steal the Show

Odysse studied classic race bikes before sketching the Evoqis, and the influence shows. Sharp body panels, twin LED headlamps, and a split-seat line give the machine a stance that turns heads and looks petrol rather than plug-in. Urban riders who crave flair as much as zero emissions will find the Evoqis hard to ignore.

Multiple paint shades add personality, while a beefy, tank-like centre, wind-cutting curves, and a crisp full-digital dashboard read out speed, charge, and trip details. Alloy wheels wrapped in wide tyres clamp down with discs front and rear, offering stopping power that matches the bikes rakish looks.

Top Speed of 80 km/h and Electric Performance

Odysse says the Evoqis hits a top speed of 80 km/h, so it should work well in busy cities and quieter suburbs. It packs a 3,000-watt electric motor that gives quick starts and steady power. That motor draws energy from a 72-volt lithium-ion pack, which takes about five hours to fill up with a regular home charger.

Riders can pick between Eco and Sport modes. Eco squeezes out every kilometer the battery can give, while Sport lets the scooter stretch its legs. According to Odysse, the Evoqis will travel somewhere between 100 and 110 kilometers on a single charge, although that number shifts based on road, rider weight, and how hard the throttle is pressed.

Safety and Suspension Setup

To stop the Evoqis, Odysse fitted disc brakes front and back, giving strong, even stopping power in almost every situation. Telescopic forks handle bumps up front, while a mono-shock rear spring keeps things steady out back. Together, those pieces offer a smooth, stable ride over rough or patchy pavement.

The scooter also comes with a few handy safety extras: an anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, and regenerative braking that scoops up a little power when the rider eases off the throttle.

Registration and Licensing Required

Unlike many low-speed electric scooters, the Odysse Evoqis needs official registration and a valid drivers licence before you hit the road. With a larger motor and a higher top speed, it falls under the same rules as bigger e-bikes in India, according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. If you want to read the latest EV policies and RTO guidelines, you can find them on the official Parivahan website.

Market Position and Availability

Starting at ₹1.18 lakh ex-showroom, the Evoqis goes head-to-head with the Revolt RV400 and other mid-tier electric bikes. Odysse says its new model will reach all major Indian cities via certified dealerships. You can already place a booking, though delivery times will differ based on your area and how many orders are in the queue. To back up sales, the brand is ramping up service centres and fast-charging spots in tandem with local partners.

Final Word

The Odysse Evoqis looks like a solid pick in Indias growing fleet of electric bikes. Its sharp, sporty looks pair well with practical e-performance, making it great for daily rides and quick weekend trips. Added support from the government and the rising cost of petrol should help the Evoqis catch on with younger and more eco-minded buyers.
