Patna, October 2025: The Bihar government on Tuesday took a major decision in patronage of unemployed youth extending the Mukhyamantri Nischay Swayam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana to post-graduate level. The scheme is casually referred to as the Bihar Graduation Unemployment Allowance and seeks to disburse an amount of monthly allowance to graduate jobless persons, whose ages range between 20 and 25.
Announcing the scheme in Patna on October 1, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the scheme is aimed at relieving financial burden of unemployed youths with education who are looking for a job. Beneficiaries will be paid ₹1,000 per month for 2 years maximum to candidates who have passed their graduation and are eligible according to these criteria.
