Kawasaki Ninja and Versys-X motorcycles are available at significant discounts in India by Kawasaki.

India New Delhi Kawasaki India has unveiled massive price cuts and other incentives on a number of models in its Ninja superbike and Versys-X adventure line-up in April 2026, as the Japanese manufacturer seeks to revitalize sales in the high-end two-wheeler market in the country.

The deals include cash discounts accompanied by free accessories on both 2025 (MY25) and 2026 (MY26) model-year models and will be applicable until the end of the month or as long as stocks are available. Industry observers observe that such promotions are also becoming increasingly common with the premium brands as they manoeuver between the developing emission regulations and the mounting competition in the adventure and performance motorcycle segments in India.

The Versys-X 300 has proved to be one of the most appealing propositions in the entry-level adventure market. The 2025 model will come with a flat cash discount of 30,000 and will reduce its ex-showroom price by 3.49 lakh to 3.19 lakh. Customers also have the option of free accessories worth up to ₹46,000 with options of a centre stand or hard panniers. The 2026 model will get a price cut of 20,000, which will lower the price of the vehicle to 3.29 lakh with the same benefits of accessories.

This makes the Versys-X 300 relatively cheaper than other popular Indian adventure motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure, which can expand its customer base to riders who want a more versatile machine that can be used in the city and on longer tours.

The MY25 Ninja 650 has a 20,000 cash discount in the Ninja lineup, which has reduced the effective ex-showroom price of the bike to 7.71 lakh, down 7.91 lakh. Nonetheless, this stock does not meet the E20 fuel standard set by India, which is an attempt of Kawasaki to clear older stocks as India is fast-tracking the transition to higher ethanol-content in its petrol.

The other models that are enjoying the scheme would be the Z650RS neo-retro roadster which is offered with a 34,000 discount making the price reach 7.49 lakh. The headline deal is on the flagship Ninja ZX-10R, in which a hefty 2.89 lakh discount will bring the ex-showroom price of 20.79 lakh to 17.90 lakh. Other incentives are also reported on some variants of the Ninja 1100 and other high-end motorcycles of the line.

Kawasaki has been progressively strengthening its dealer network in the key Indian cities, and has established itself as a major player in the emerging premium motorcycle market. The brand is also competing with well-known European brands, such as BMW Motorrad and Ducati, and home-based manufacturers, who provide cheaper adventure and performance alternatives.

According to dealers contacted by this correspondent, the existing promotions are directed at making Japanese engineering of high quality more affordable to a broader segment of the enthusiasts, especially those who are attracted by the balance of performance, reliability and touring ability that Kawasaki models offer.

According to one Kawasaki dealer in Mumbai (who wanted to remain anonymous), these discounts and in particular the Versys-X 300 and ZX-10R allow premium riding experiences without having to compromise on the build quality or technology.

Potential customers are advised to go to official dealerships where the prices might be slightly different, based on the location and inventory. There are still standard insurance, registration and other formalities charges to be paid depending on the original ex-showroom price in the majority of cases.

These incentives come at a time when the overall two-wheeler industry in India is adapting to more stringent environmental rules, and shifting consumer trends that favour motorcycles that are both ideal for everyday commuting and weekend excursions. It is yet to be seen whether the discounts will result into a tangible increase in sales but it definitely reduces the barrier to entry into the world of owning a Kawasaki by riders who have always wanted to do so.
