Flying Flea C6 Opens Bookings in Bengaluru: Royal Enfield unveils first electric motorcycle

Bengaluru, India – Royal Enfield has opened bookings for its first all-electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6  but only in Bengaluru as part of a major push into India’s growing EV market.

Reservations were opened by the company on April 10, 2026, which allowed customers to book the bike by paying a token amount of Rs 10,000. Deliveries tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of May 2026. The phased, city-wise introduction also represents the rather cautious but meticulous entry of iconic motorcycle maker into the electric two-wheeler space.

The unveiling of the new bike also corresponds with the opening of a dedicated Flying Flea shop in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and suggests that the C6 will be sold through an entirely separate network to classic Royal Enfield dealerships. So far, the only city where interested buyers can reserve and test ride motorcycle is Bengaluru.

Available at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) with battery included as standard (more inclusive pricing), it gets a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option for Rs 1.99 lakh for an even more affordability-tuned entry point. This model of flexible ownership aims to lower the upfront cost, one of the key deterrents to electric vehicle adoption in India.

Compact, lightweight and city-focused

Weighing in at only 124 kg kerb weight, the C6 is also Royal Enfield's lightest motorcycle so far. The car’s small size and zippy handling characteristics make it well-suited for crowded city streets, but it still has enough go for occasional highway jaunts.

Power from a 3.91 kWh lithium-ion cellular battery bank driving a everlasting magnet synchronous motor that delivers a peak output of 15.4 kW (roughly 20.7 bhp) and 60 Nm of torque./ Formula Load more replies The bike boasts an IDC-certified range of 154 km on single charge, a top speed of 115 km/h as well as 0-60 km/h acceleration in just 3.7 seconds.

Expect the time from 20% to 80% to be around about 65 minutes, while a complete charge is due in approximately two hours and 16 mins. Riders can select from four preset riding modes City, Rain, Highway and Sport  as well as a customisable mode to tune performance and efficiency.

It is a modern take on the original Flying Flea, a lightweight British military motorcycle from the 1940s and has some subtle design influences, but with an almost futuristic aesthetic. Details include a forged aluminium girder-style front suspension with an articulated mud guard, disc brakes on either end and a relatively low seat height of 823 mm for accessible ergonomics.

It is available in two attractive colours  Storm Black and Flea Green, the C6's also feature a few key practical touches like a front USB charging port, as well as several electronic aids to help you ride more safely.

A measured approach to electrification

Royal Enfield had always been a brand synonymous with thumping single-cylinder petrol engines and retro styling, so it naturally took its sweet time to venture into the electric space. The company has repeatedly hit on a “build slowly and steadily” philosophy, prioritising building strong service and charging support before expanding across the whole country.

The graduated rollout by city, according to industry analysts, is a practical approach. Unlike major metros such as Bengaluru which have better charging infrastructure and a younger, environment-concious customer base smaller towns and rural areas still face some major issues when it comes to adopting EVs.

The Flying Flea sub-brand looks to be Royal Enfield’s in-house electric mobility division, and could also set the stage for more such models down the line perhaps even a scrambler-inspired variant that we've heard is planned.

India's two-wheeler segment is experiencing a paradigm shift as the government accelerates the transition to cleaner mobility with incentives, stringent emission norms and expanding charging networks. Incumbents and newcomers alike see a bruising battle to snare market share in a territory long ruled by internal combustion engines.

For Royal Enfield, whose action-oriented users have been typified in the past by their affection for the character and tradition attached to its combustion-powered icons, the C6 represents an opportunity and challenge: one will be translating its brand equity into silent, instantly- torquey electric worldwide without losing touch with core enthusiasts.

Initial reactions from early riders point to a typical “Royal Enfield feel” even without the soundtrack of exhaust noise

nimble, engaging, and unexpectedly fun in stop-and-go city traffic.

Bookings for the Flying Flea C6 have commenced at Jayanagar Flying Flea store and via brand’s official channels in Bengaluru. The company has not yet revealed specific timelines for expansion to cities like Chennai, Mumbai or Delhi so interested customers are advised to head into the store for a test ride.

And as India’s electric two-wheeler market develops, the arrival of a heavyweight name such as Royal Enfield under the banner of this Flying Flea could help facilitate widespread acceptance of e-motorcycles away from hard-working commuting tools, and toward desirable physically-embodied machines with character.
