Zabir Ansari from Jamui has once again brought pride to Bihar by winning the gold medal in the 8th Bihar State Karate Championship held in Patna on August 2-3. Competing in the senior category under the 75 kg weight class, Jabir clinched his eighth consecutive gold medal, securing his place in the upcoming national karate competition to be held in Kurukshetra, Haryana from August 25 to 27.


This achievement adds to his earlier wins in the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023, making this his eighth gold in a row. With consistent performance and discipline, Zabir has emerged as one of the top karate players in Bihar, showcasing talent and determination at every level.


Zabir is currently pursuing M.A. in Urdu from Patna University. Alongside his studies, he continues his training and preparation while staying at the Nematul Fatma Begum Minority Boys Hostel, run by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. Balancing academics with a demanding sports schedule, Zabir has become an example of dedication and time management.


His latest win has been appreciated across the university campus.
