When It Came Out

The TVS Sport first came to India many years ago but got a big update in 2020 to meet new rules. As of May 2025, it’s still a popular bike for daily use because of its sporty look and low cost. You can find it in many showrooms across India.

Looks and Build

The TVS Sport has a nice sporty look that makes it stand out. The front has a sharp headlamp with small lights that stay on all the time, making it look bold and keeping it safe on the road. The bike has new stickers on the petrol tank and sides that give it a fresh, modern style. It comes in seven colors: Black Blue, Black Red, White Purple, Metallic Blue, All Black, All Grey, and All Red. The black engine and alloy wheels add to its sporty feel. The bike also has a shiny logo on the tank that looks premium. It’s 1950 mm long, 705 mm wide, and 1080 mm tall. The seat is 790 mm high, which suits most riders, and the ground clearance is 175 mm, good for city roads. It weighs 112 kg, Making when It Came Out it easy to handle.

Engine and Power

The TVS Sport has a small 110cc engine that gives okay power and strength for daily rides. It makes around 8 PS power and 8.7 Nm strength. The engine is paired with a gear system that has 4 steps. The top speed is about 90 km per hour, which works well for city and village roads. The engine has a special part that helps it use less petrol and run smoothly.

Mileage in Daily Use

The TVS Sport is known for saving petrol. The company says it can go 95 km on one litre of petrol, but some users say they get 70-80 km per litre in real use. In busy city areas with many stops, it might drop to 60-65 km per litre. On open roads, if you ride at a steady 40-50 km per hour, it can go up to 85 km per litre. The petrol tank holds 10 litres, so on a full tank, you can ride 600-850 km, depending on how you ride. With petrol at Rs 100 per litre, filling the tank costs Rs 1000, which works out to Rs 1.18 to 1.67 per km. If you drive fast or on rough roads, the mileage might drop to 55-60 km per litre, giving a range of 550-600 km.

Ride and Handling

The TVS Sport has a long seat with soft padding, so both the rider and the person sitting behind can ride for a long time without getting tired. The front suspension takes care of small bumps, and the back suspension can be adjusted in 5 steps to make the ride smooth on rough roads. The bike has drum brakes, 130 mm in the front and 110 mm in the back, for safe stopping. The tyres are 2.75x17 inches in the front and 3.00x17 inches in the back, giving good grip on wet and dry roads. The bike also has a strong handle at the back for the person sitting behind to hold, and you can tie extra bags to it.

Features for Daily Use

The bike has a digital screen that shows speed, trip distance, and when the petrol is low. It also has a small meter that tells you how much petrol you’re using, helping you save more. The bike has an electric start, so you can start it in any gear by just pressing a button. There’s a USB port to charge your phone while riding, which is handy for long trips. The headlamp stays on all the time, making the bike easy to see even in low light.

Price in 2025

The TVS Sport price starts at around Rs 60,000 and goes up to Rs 80,579, depending on the type. Some reports say you can get it with a small down payment of Rs 7,000 and pay the rest in easy monthly payments of Rs 2,059 for 3 years. Used bikes might cost less, depending on their condition.

Safety Features

The bike has a system that helps the brakes work together for safer stopping. The headlamp that stays on all the time makes sure other people can see you on the road, especially at night or in fog. The strong handle at the back keeps the person sitting behind safe.

Compared to Other Bikes

The TVS Sport goes up against bikes like the Bajaj CT100 and Hero Splendor Plus. The Bajaj CT100 gives around 70-89 km per litre, costing Rs 1.76 to 2.09 per km at Rs 100/litre, but it’s no longer made. The Splendor Plus gives 60-70 km per litre, costing Rs 2.50 per km. The TVS Sport’s 70-95 km per litre mileage saves Rs 0.50 to 0.80 per km compared to the Splendor Plus. For a daily ride of 50 km, this means yearly savings of Rs 9,000 to Rs 14,000. But the Splendor Plus might have more spare parts available since it’s still made.

Support and Maintenance Costs

TVS has many service centres in India, so fixing the bike is easy in most places. Some users said the yearly maintenance cost is between Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000, depending on usage. Keeping the bike in good shape, like cleaning the air filter and changing oil on time, helps keep mileage high. If parts like the air filter get dirty, mileage can drop by 3-5 km per litre.

Market Standing in 2025

In May 2025, the TVS Sport is still a top choice for daily riders. It’s known for its sporty look, great mileage, and low price, making it popular in cities and villages. Other TVS bikes like the Raider 125 are also in the market, but the Sport is a favorite for those who want a simple bike.

Who It’s For

The TVS Sport is made for riders who need a 2-seater bike with a sporty look and good mileage. It suits students, workers, and delivery boys who want a bike that saves petrol and is easy to use for short city rides.
